Bush Hammered

This is a typical Burgundy limestone, a limestone I have always loved. Open pored, low sheen, its very natural and relaxed in structure.  A warm creamy background with traces of honey and gold. Small, characterful holes sporadically appear across the face. It all makes this limestone one of the classics. The bush hammered finish adds a nice texture, opens holes a tad and lightens the colour. Frost resistant and durable, it’s pretty versatile. And quarried less than 500 miles from London so reasonably local too.
