After an extensive sampling period, it became clear that Grolla Limestone really did fit the bill perfectly. With its regular veins and occasional holes it feels unmistakably natural. And in a flamed surface it provided a nicely deconstructed look. We added a light brush to assist with cleaning and maintenance whilst not taking too much character away in the meantime. To keep the budget the tiles size was standardised to 800 x 520mm, not cut to size, and walls were supplied is 12mm to enable an adhesive fix. The overall quantity delivered was more than 4000m2, and every bathroom dry laid and tiles graded and numbered to ensure best results. To complement the Grolla limestone, we also supplied stunning Welsh Slate vanity tops. A black slate, the top surface of the vanity was honed, front down-stand in a chiselled finish exposing the laminated construction of this beautiful slate. The down-stand was glued to the vanity top and the edge of the top chiseled to match the finish of the down-stand.
