We initially thought we would have a few possibilities that would work well with the reddish, earthy brown tones of the concrete but after a number of initial sample reviews it became apparent that it wasn’t going to be as easy as we had thought with the various tonalities and structures of the samples we sourced were not quite hitting the mark.
The search started with a red travertine, from Iran but ended in Italy when one of our travertine specialists suggested a specific bench of a type of Noce Travertine from a quarry in Tivoli. In addition to the colour, we were to also try to find a travertine with very defined banding and this box was well and truly ticked by the chosen material with colours from cream to black as well as essential earthy browns.
